A brew kettle is an integral part of the brewing process. This large "cooking pot" can be used to initially boil water that will be transferred to a hot liquor tank (if the brewery utilizes one), and boil the wort once it exits the mash tun. Brew kettles operate at very high temperatures, and boil over is a concern when selecting an appropriate size. Brew kettles are usually the first significant investment most amateur and professional brewers make. Strong preference is given to stainless steel because it is non-reactive, meaning it won't leach 'flavor' into your brew, and is significantly easier to clean and maintain than an enamel or aluminum counter part.

Our stainless steel brew kettles are available from 3 barrel to 30+ barrels which is ideal for craft brewers to commercial breweries, and a wide range of beverages and industries. Our brew kettles are constructed from food grade stainless steel SS304 with a 3-4 mm thickness, an interior sanitary finish with exterior side walls in a #4 dairy finish. All kettles come standard with 50% head space on top of working volume, and our 1 year warranty. Our brew kettles are beautifully designed for the discriminating brewer and loaded with many standard features that provide commercial brewery functionality for all brewers alike.

Click here to go to "Brite Beer Tanks"

A brite beer tank's primary purpose is the maturation of beer, and often doubles as the serving tank itself eliminating the need for maintaining additional beer kegs. A basic holding vessel and more cost effective than its conical fermenter counterpart, brite beer fermentation tanks are often used to chill, carbonate and age the beer into the well-rounded craft beverage it is. This mature, clarified beer known as "brite" beer, is what gives the tank its name.

Modern commercial breweries often utilize single-walled stainless steel brite tanks which can be reused indefinitely, are impregnable to odors and discoloration, and can be sanitized easily. Most brite tanks sit atop legs and utilize gravity as serving vessels. Additionally, brite tanks are often paired with conical fermenters, thus allowing a higher batch turn-over rate in the more expensive fermenter, yielding a cost savings.

Click here to go to "Conical Fermenters"

A conical fermenter allows for the fermentation and the aging/storing of the brewing process to occur in the same vessel. The cone bottom collects the sediment which is then easily removed by slowly opening a bottom valve until the liquid runs clear, leaving the beer to age. For this reason they are often referred to as "Uni-Tanks" as opposed to their flat-bottom counterparts that require transferring beer to a secondary conditioning tank to separate the sediment.

Modern commercial fermenting tanks have the advantage of being made from stainless steel which can be reused indefinitely, is impregnable to odors and discoloration, and can be sanitized easily. Most conical fermenters sit atop legs and thus allow the siphoning of the wort or trub through gravity. Additionally, yeast can be drawn off at any point during fermenting, to be washed and reused again. These features yield considerable cost and time savings for commercial breweries, as well as faster turn-over rates for batches.

Insulated Mash Tuns, which are highly recommended, help reach and maintain a consistent temperature while avoiding the potential scorching that can arise from a heat sources such a gas burners or electric elements.
