EPDM gaskets have a very good water and steam resistance, however they do not hold up well to animal fats, oil and most acids | Because of their polymer structure. EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer) is a USP Class VI material that meets FDA and 3A compliance, and operates | Best in a temperate range of (-30° - 300°F). EPDM has | Better resistivity to general cleaning chemicals than silicone. Gaskets and Seals are non-returnable per FDA regulation.

  • Alkali Resistance: Good
  • Petroleum Oil Resistance: Poor
  • Vegetable Oil Resistance: Good
  • Abrasion Resistance: Excellent
  • Compression Resistance: Fair
  • Ethanol < 10%: Excellent
  • Ethanol 10% to 40%: Excellent
  • Ethanol > 40%: Excellent

Glacier Tanks will accept returns of website standard stocking items, but only if:

  1. The item is new, unused, and in resellable condition:
  2. You notify Glacier Tanks and request a return authorization within 14 days of your receipt of the item; and
  3. You return the item to Glacier Tanks, postage/shipping prepaid within 5 days of Glacier Tanks' return authorization (RMA).
  4. Special/custom order items are not returnable.

  5. Gaskets and seals are not returnable.

After your items have been received by Glacier Tanks and verified to be unused, we will refund your purchase price, less shipping costs. Returns will incur a 15% restocking fee. Shipping costs are your responsibility and shall not be paid by Glacier Tanks.
