Coming Soon! Our New Line of High-Pressure Extraction Tanks

We are thrilled to introduce our brand-new line of high-pressure extraction tanks designed to elevate how you approach extraction processes. In this blog post, we will take you on a tour of our new high-pressure extraction tanks and related products, providing a comprehensive understanding of their features, capabilities, and how they can elevate your extraction game.

Terminology and Knowledge

Before we dive into the specifics of our exciting new line, let’s ensure we’re on the same page with some essential terminology and knowledge that underpins high-pressure extraction systems:

  1. Solvent: Hydrocarbons like propane, butane, and hexane are crucial solvents in extraction.

  1. Reclaim: This term refers to the collected solvent after extraction and can be efficiently reused for subsequent processes.

  1. Modularity: Modularity is the core principle in the design, ensuring seamless compatibility between every component.

  1. Working Pressure: This is the maximum pressure that any process can safely reach with the rated equipment, typically set at 50% to 70% of the maximum burst pressure or pressure rating.

  1. Non-ASME but ASME Designed: While our tanks are not ASME rated, they are meticulously designed to adhere to ASME specifications, following ASME construction standards for a working pressure of 315psi, certified by 3Pcertz.

  1. High-Pressure Tri-Clamp: Our extraction tanks feature 1.5in and 6.0in high-pressure tri-clamp flanges, rated at 1500psi and 300psi, respectively.

The Closed Loop Extraction Process

Let’s start by exploring how our innovative high-pressure extraction tanks seamlessly integrate into the closed-loop extraction process:

Solvent Tank: A vessel filled with solvent, typically chilled to -40°F to maintain the solvent in a liquid state.

Material Columns: These columns, jacketed or sleeved, are loaded with botanicals for extraction.

CRC (Color Remediation Column): Designed to filter out contaminants and enhance the product’s color.

Solvent Recovery Tank: This tank collects the solvent carrying the extracted product, evaporating through warm water circulation in a jacket, leaving the product behind.

Solvent Recovery Tank → Reclaim Loop: The molecular sieve removes water from the solvent, and a vacuum pump compresses it back into a liquid. The cold trap rapidly chills the solvent before returning it to the solvent tank.

Closed Loop Extraction Operation: Your botanicals can be loaded in batches or continuously, and product collection from the recovery tank occurs after solvent evaporation.
