The heavy duty slide gate for manually releasing or stopping the flow of grist into the mash tun from a mill/auger or grist case. It is constructed of a PTFE gate encased in a stainless steel 304 housing. The 4 inch Tri Clamp connections allows for easy installation onto our grist hydrator, and offers compatibility with most auger/grist case drop-tubes. When closed, the Glacier Tanks slide gate is able to stop steam from rising into the grain handling system where the steam can create hardened residue when it contacts fine particulates from residual grist.
